Cast Iron Trivet
A cast iron trivet with a fleur-de-lis openwork pattern and three small feet to protect your table from hot pots and pans. Heavy, flat, and stable — it does not slide around when you set a Dutch oven on it.
Cast iron trivets have been kitchen staples since the 16th century. They work because cast iron absorbs and distributes heat rather than transferring it directly to your table. This one is finished in matte black and weighs enough to stay put.
Also works as a wall-mounted decorative piece when not in use. The openwork pattern casts interesting shadows against a light wall.
